Analysis of Voter Demographic
Consider a simple question: How does income impact voting behavior? As articulated well by Andrew Gelman in his popular book, the answer is not as simple as it sounds. What should the unit of analysis be: Survey data, County Outcomes, Red-Blue States? Does the relationship between voting and Income vary by where you live? Has it changed over time? This exercise utilizes county data from 2012 Presidential election and over 60 years of survey data from ANES to create a profile of American voters.
